My city has a local farmer's market every Saturday August-October. I've just started going the past couple weeks, but it's been AWESOME! I think it's so great to support the local farmers, plus everything is really fresh. Here's what I got last week:
7 ears of corn
7 jalapenos
1 lb. or so pearl onions
5 lbs. red potatoes
1 bunch green onions
2 banana peppers
cherry tomatoes
1 apple pastry (that was about 5 times bigger when we bought it...)
blackberries
2 heads garlic
total price: $17.25
If you have a farmer's market where you live, go check it out! You get to meet new people and get fresh fruits & veggies! Good times.
